Why does this site always say I answer my own question when I really don't?
Answers: Because the answer to your question is in your mind when you ask it.
It always tells me that I can't answer my own question. I thought that was a given. If I could answer it, I wouldn't have asked it in the first place.
... because if you give many people an answer that is based on reason... many times they will take it as fact, even if the facts are flawed... I'm not saying your facts are flawed, but I am saying people don't want to think for themselves and if your answer makes sense (even if it's wrong... not that they are, but I'm just saying) they will agree with it...
It would be an interesting test to make something up completely and support it with fake facts and see how many people would dispute it or just agree with it... nothing too volatile though, some know some of the facts about the more volatile issues...
