Why shouldn't America entice all allied nations to construct missile defense systems?

Question: It seems that many American allies see the American Missile Defense System as aggressive, when in and of itself, it is purely defensive; but, if every Anerican ally had one, noone would be under the threat of external missile attacks. I would even be in favor of technology sharing with true allies in order to get this done, thereby protecting us all from rogue states with long range missile capacity. What do you think about this plan?
Answers: Great idea!!!! Now just convince those in power what is in it for them. Peace.
I think that USA don't need it because it is very easy to kill people you don't like telling about their own war with terrorists.
Tech aside, its the cost. We also offered to cover Canada fro free, and they turned us down. It may be cheaper to regime change the rogue states anyway. Besides, who is a real ally? Israel,Japan,UK? We hook them up, they are guaranteed to be in a war in minutes.

Nice plan, but I think covering ourselves first is important.
We used to do things like that, but the nations that would have done that with us have quit participating in NATO and started following the EU.
The truth is there are no true allies that why we cant share all our info with them. Saddam was one of our allies just to make and example.
There are no long range missile threats. South Korea is testing one ICBM so what? They are gonna shoot it and get their asses blown to hell.
Missile defense is a complete waste of money and causes more harm than good. It gives a false sense of security while at the same time it increases the likelihood that destruction can be the result of a mistake or a senile President.
