Is the correct view of the world the American eyes view?
Question: Or shall we accept that other people's cultures, opinions, views are just as important as ours.
Answers: We think its the correct view, so thats good enough!
Depends on whether you are an ideologue (Bush Admin) or a pragmatist (Clinton Admin).
They shouldn't be AS important to us. To them maybe, but not to us.
They are important but they should not determine our day to day lives...

I think the answer to why Americans think that their views are right is because our views are the only ones we know. We are not a sophistacated country and most people just accept what is handed to them and not researching other viewpoints.
I think that this is a lesser of evils answer. America may not have all of the answers, and my not do it right, but we are the only coutnry in the world who states very clearly in our constitution that all men are created equal we are the only nation to fight a revolutionary war to prove we believe it and the only nation to fight a civil war to prove it again. So, If I had to choose one view for all, I'd choose ours.
HOWEVER, part of what makes America great IS our acceptance of others views, cultures, opinions and beliefs. Just because we don't agree with them does not mean we dont respect their right to have them. It does not mean they are wrong. It just means they are different from our own.
Many other views do not distinguish between different and right or wrong So, again I would say Yes, America's all men (and women) are created equal and have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness views is the correct way for all the world.
But that's MY VIEW... which may be different, but is not wrong.

I don't think you can really say anybody has a correct view of the world. All countries, cultures, nationalities, etc are biased to a certain degree. That's just human nature.
The average American doesn't know very much about other countries(for starters, their locations on a map)...so I'm not sure his 'view' is to be trusted.
