What are some good qualities about Fred thompson's personality?
Question: I can only think of Down to Earth and Charismatic, and I've been researching for days. I'm not stupid, I just hate him and have to write a report on his image.
Answers: Well, that's actually the problem. He's only a viable candidate because of his image --- like a plain spoken, down home guy and his name recognition thanks to his acting roles.
The problem is that personality and image do not begin to make up for his real deficiencies, not the least of which that he just seems really out of it in terms of knowing about current affairs. never mind any particular policy positions held. I'm just really embarrassed for him.
He's great on the Law & Order franchise shows! He is very distinguished-looking, articulate, and decisive. (Even tho I don't agree with him politically.)
Well if you're looking for some more filler maybe look into his character on Law and Order, Arthur Branch, his image, because that is how most Americans know him, as one of the stars on Law and Order, that's why he's a celebrity, and that influences his image. And some of his other roles too, his acting roles definetley influence his image.

I like how laid back he is. He looks like he is calm and under control, which is something I think is important because of what is happening in the world. I feel like some of the other candidates, mainly Hillary and Edwards, are jittery and jumpy. I like how Thomspon could possibly make you feel more at ease in the face of tragedy.

I really have nothing against the guy. I think he is in the race for the wrong reason. I believe he thinks it is a popularity contest and his party wants another Reagan. Since he is an actor he has a head start?

Probably like you, I only know him most from the many characters he's played in movies and TV programs over the years. He is a good actor.

One thing you can say for him may be that he believes in himself, follows his instinct, is not afraid of any outcome (here he is having been diagnosed with cancer), and probably can talk himself out of any mess!!!

I found he is a little too conservative for me on some social issues but on the big issues like immigration and terrorism he at least seems to have an opinion. He is not afraid to say what he thinks and does not spend all his time dodging questions like some of the other candidates on both sides.
