Do you believe that today people are less concerned about choosing a president for the US?
Question: Why don't we get off of our rases of the chair and vote when it is time to vote nearly 1/2 the people in america don't vote when it is election day. And what makes me so angry is when a president is elected and he shi$% up and then that 1/2 who did not vote starts to comlpain why did you not vote in the first place. get your lazy butt off the chair and help do something.
Answers: Why don't they vote? There isn't a single candidate that isn't on the take from some special interest group. There isn't a candidate of the people, they are career politicians. There isn't a candidate that can think for themselves. They have to have a complete staff for what they say and where they go. How many do you see standing on a street corner talking to the citizens and taking notes? How many have ever kept their campaign promises? What good will it do if the individual vote is lost because of the outmoded electoral college of 200 years ago? What good will it do if the politician is out for number one only and lining their pockets with PAC money they can keep when leaving office? If is evident the person or group with the money can get the law, no matter who loses. It is a sad situation that our elected officials have become career politicians for their own benefit and could not function in normal society. Want examples look at most in the California system. From Governor, Attorney General, Senator or Rep, to Mayor. The offices may be slightly different, but the career path is the same. I have always been fascinated by the people that will vote for a person based on political party or a name and not the true candidate or issues.
I think part of the reason people don't vote is because the campaigns last tooooooooo loooooooong. To campaign for two years is assinine. Those running for office could say what they have to say in 60 days and stop boring the people of America. It would also cut down on the mud slinging. Then maybe people would get off their rears as you say, and go vote.
Also they should do away with all the caucasus and the primaries and people should just vote for President without having the electoral college at all. Everybody who wants to run should be on the ballot and may the best man win.
I predict there will be a pretty good turn out this time around. Many more people have become interested in politics due to the events of the last few years.
I disagree with you and I feel you should not be insulting the President like this. That smell you think is shi$%, is coming from your left side. people should not vote for anyone who spends over 450,000 dollars that would be one years salary. they should not vote for anyone who runs 2 years out from a election ,they should not vote for anyone who supports the party's central committee, they have gone awry and have corrupted our voting system.
think about what harm they are doing to you it is truly egregious if you stop take a moment and think about there actions and reasons.
