How would you feel if Ron Paul were elected president?
Answers: I'd look outside to see if the invasion fleet had landed yet.
Way better than Hillary
i'll take him if it's him up against a dem, but that's the only way. i'll take fred thompson as the repub at the moment over any candidate.
We'll see how it goes...I think he'd be ok.
It would be looked at as one of the best days in American history. The day We the People said no more trampling of the Constitution, no more Imperial Wars, no more destruction of our hard earned money through inflation and excessive taxation.
Personally, I would party like there is no tomorrow.
Id feel great. Id start having kids with my wife. Other than that, America would have it made and be in great shape!
Allot of people would have a completely renewed faith in politics. First real change in a long time that would bring the Constitution to the forefront to help clean up and straighten out politics and requests to politicians & government.
It would make me feel like dancin dancin dance the night away
I'd check to make sure I wasn't in the twilight zone.
I would feel like there is a different president in office.
Great. He truly is a good candidate for the job. I disagree w/ somethings, but overall, I think he would do the country some good!
It would be the start of something grand. Of this i'm quite sure.
(Fedup: Damn good answer sweetheart. If he doesn't see it, he doesn't see it. Oh well. ;)).
Just remember............ Oak Trees.
I'd be glad that he won, but I'd also realize that he needs to get a favorable Congress and that the Libertarian Revolution must be completed (which may take 50 years, but things would start to get better immediately and if we're going to have a 50 year struggle, why not make it one to restore freedom in America instead of one to terrorize foreigners?).
Assuming that the cadre of Ron Paul supporters do not get serious about running candidates for Congress (and I have seen nothing indicating that this necessity has struck them yet), after I got over my complete and total shock, intellectual curiousity would set in.
We have never elected a President who had zero supporters in Congress. As such, I would be wondering how could such a president govern. How would Congress respond to a President likely to veto every piece of legislation that they pass? Would bi-partisanship break out with the two parties negotiating their differences to get veto-proof majorities or would everything come to a halt? Would this lead to a major realignment of the two parties? Would this lead to a variation on parliamentary government like we had in the late 1800s when Congress was the most powerful branch of government?
Its been over 50 years (if not longer) since a President has based vetoes on the Constitution and not policy whims (most early presidents assumed that their authority to veto was limited to constitutional questions). How would Congress react to this change?
What would happen if the President refused to faithfully execute laws or programs that he felt were unwise or unconstitutional (e.g. EPA, Department of Education)? Would Congress consider that to be sufficient cause for impeachment (Andrew Johnson was impeached for firing the Secretary of War)?
my waning faith in humanity would be completely restored!
Tmess2...The thing is that there ARE Americans running who support Ron Paul. This isn't a one man show any longer.
To answer the question, I would be very happy and feel that the US intelligence has returned.
I would be pleasantly surprised. He has a long way to go and a lot must happen before the primaries are over, however when he raised $ 4 million on November 5th, the possibility
suddenly became real. Watch for December 16th, the
anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. I predict he will raise
$ 10 million that day and blow all the political prognosticators
minds. With a $20 million 4th quarter, he will become a top
tier candidate, despite the media's best attempts to stop him.
It would be a miracle, getting past the FeResve, the warmongers and ballot fixers.
But he's the only one I like.
I'm betting I'd feel great, since I would have morphed into an alternate universe where such a thing would actually be possible. I always liked traveling.
I will feel better to have in the white house, then Hillary, or Rudy.
Ron Paul gets my vote. Tell everyone you know to vote for him. He will save this country. 2nd choice would be Kucinich.
A very great and pleasant feeling. May he win, Amen!
What does it matter who gets the votes? Look at recent history, its full of empty promises from those running for elected offices. Why would Ron Paul, Hillary Clinton, or any of the rest of them jokers be any different? Abortion has been a hot topic since I can remember presidential campaigns. Nothing has been done, its STILL AN ISSUE!!!!!! Gun control, (use both hands) STILL AN ISSUE!!!! Taxes, you got it, I promise to lower taxes Every 4 years we hear this same rhetoric. The only difference this year is Iraq. We will stay the course We will pull out More politicians trying to get into office with a bunch of blah blah blah, I don't care, CRAP!! So take a look at whatever issue that's most important to you, then look at how many presidents have vowed to change it and never did. My vote probably will go to Hillary. At least that way there will be no suprises when we get screwed!!!!
NAUSEATED!
Sick. But, we don't have to worry the country will not vote for him even if he becomes the Republican nominee.
That most people who voted for him had no clue what he wants. Government isn't a bad thing and the framers of our constitution left it open to interpretation for a reason, times change.
It would bad.

Last Time I checked, this was America! (And just walk away. By the time they realize what you said, your gone.)
Yes! No true Patriot would ever make it! Ron Paul would be a start, but only that! A small step in a bigger process of taking back our government. Unless Ron had some support in one of the other branc
