As Romney and Giuliani pick at each others heels won't this catapult McCain to front runner status?
Question: He will win in New Hampshire as he did against Bush yet the Republican machine WILL back him this time and the Evangelicals will jump on the band wagon.
Of ALL the candidates he has the most knowledge and experience in foreign and domestic policy than Giuliani and Romney have Combined. This is the logical outcome of the presidential Republican primaries. All thoughts welcome (even name callers) God Bless!!
Answers: I'd like to agree with you... but all I can really say is I hope so
I think the notion of bickering endlessly about I'm more conservative than you are is ridiculous, and that there is much more Romney and Giuliani could be talking about, to prove who they are.
I think it's still too early to tell yet. McCain has been known as a bit of a flip-flopper, so he will have to get a better, more concise platform (as will they all). But, despite some differences in opinion with Giuliani, I personally think his platform is the most defined at this point.
I agree he does appear to be the most logical choice for Republicans among those three. I don't think he could with the election. I don't think his position on the war will help him with independents. Many will also not like his position on immigration. His age is certainly a disadvantage. He would need a running mate that everyone would be very comfortable with as president.
Sorry, but it won't happen. McCain lost his chance.
actually I'm hoping it will catapult Ron Paul instead of McCain.
My primary concern, unfortunately, is how to beat Rodamn Clinton. I think Giuliani represents the best opportunity to do that. I don't see McCain ever regaining momentum.
I agree with you though, he is the most qualified.
I would love him if he would just say, If I'm elected Saigon is an ashtray!
The simple idea is that because they aren't even mentioning McCain he will slowly fade unless he can in some way make himself more relivent.
