Will people vote for Obama just because.....?
Question: I've heard talk of many people saying they will vote for Hillary becuase she is a women, will the same ring true for Obama if he gets the nomination, will people vote for him becuase he is a minority? Just wondering.
Answers: yes dey will
dis years election 4 president is very controversial
one one side dere is a white woman runnin nd the other a black man
it will b interesting 2 c the results
probably some people are just stupid that way.
Probably.
From what I hear, Hilary sounds like sh*tty candidate.
Well, they wouldn't be voting for him because he's a woman.
Not only is a minority candidate, but he truly has something major to contribute to our country. He is very adament about restoring the peoples power in the executive branch. He feels he can do for the people what they want and need.
yes. i don't plan to vote. i mean who am i going to vote for ? the one who will sell us down the river or the one who will screw us over?
there is no choice and where once we used to have a 2 party system it has now devolved into a 1 party system with illusions of grandeur.
No...they would vote for Obama because he's a woman.
Joking.
Ive no idea why anyone would vote for Obama. He is well spoken, but his policies are extreme and flawed, and nothing he has demonstrated would lead me to believe he should be President.
Some will vote for him because he's a minority. some will vote for him because he's a democrat. some will vote against him because these things.
Some deluded souls will vote for him because they will honestly think he's the best for the job.
I'm sure some people will use that method, but it's the wrong way to select the best candidate.
No, some ignorant people maybe who dont pay attention to politics, well vote just cause, but it WILL not be enough to overturn a election.
REMEMBER thats why the electoral college was established.
TO counter idiot voters.
Did Navi really just talk like that?
Anyhoo, yes, they will. I've already heard a good chunk of African Americans raving about Obama and how wonderful he is and they don't know a lick about politics. One even referred to him as a Republican. Are you serious?
I know that is not the reason I will be voting for him... but it helps...
I'm a white male but I'm also gay and I DO give minorities preferencial treatment in politics because we are under represented...
I might get a few thumbs down for that, but it's honestly how I feel...
Obama has actually gone out of his way to be pro-gay equality... even Edwards trips over his own tongue on the subject.
Obama is also a Christian and does not forsake his conservative values in the process of being fair and open minded.
I get tired of people like Al Sharpton and Larry Craig representing the minorities in this country, don't you?
Ask the white women that question.I would love to know.
I have heard a few people say they would vote for Hillary because of her gender, but I've heard more say they wouldn't vote for her because of it. I really don't think it will affect Obama's chances as much though. Although we do have a ways to go, I think we have come further with regard to race than we have gender. We seem to have taken a few steps back in terms of that.
I do not think so, because if you look at the polls Hillary has a higher percentage of the minority vote. especially the African American vote. Obama at this moment in time is playing flip flop and trying to secure those voters. Most Minorities are more familiar with the Clinton's. So obama does not necessarily have a better chance of winning their vote
The obvious answer is yes. Think about it this way; how many people vote straight ticket democrat or republican? I'm sure if you ask a group of 100 around you the answer will be over 25%. Straight ticket. They don't care who it is they are voting for on the ballot, as long as they are running under the political party they feel is the right one. Now considering that such a large percentage will vote straight ticket (which in my mind is absolutely retarded), it is most likely true that a good percentage of people will vote for Obama just because he is a minority, just as they would vote for Hillary just because she is a minority.
A lot of people vote for candidates for really idiotic reasons. Race, Sex, Religion... Hmmm. All the things that are forbidden by the federal government to be considered when you apply for loans, work, school, and so on. Very few people actually listen to what the candidates propose and what they offer the worlds most dominate elected position. 99% of people will rant about why their candidate is the best. Ask them about the opposition. Ask them questions about where they stand on different issues. Most won't be able to answer, or at least won't be able to answer correctly.
YOU can make a difference though. Do your homework on all of the candidates. Don't just listen to what your preferred political party says. Read up on the other side too. I watch Fox News regularly, but I do change the channel to CNN for AT LEAST an hour a day to get the other side...
Don't be ignorant... Vote Smart.
If I were 18 and just out of high school, I would vote for Obama because he is black and he can dance, as proved on the Ellen DeGeneris show.
But I am not 18 anymore. It is 20 years later, and I have enlisted, been overseas, studied, worked, read up and everything else.
I cannot vote for Obama today. I cannot do that to my country. My wish list now extends beyond race and a person's dancing ability and music tastes to what his experience is and what he or she can bring to the position of the Presidency of the United States.
Obama needs a lot more time in federal government to begin to look credible.
Yes. Its just as moronic as people who party vote. If he or she were the best candidate, fine. However, (and i was the biggest supporter of having a dem in office, until i saw my choices) both of them will drive the last nail in all our coffins.
Yes. Of course.
There are so many people that will but i dont believe they should do that. It should really be about how the person believes that they can run the country.

I blame people who don't exercise their right to vote. We let the minority vote these fools into office, and then let them have free reign to do as they wish.
no, u have to go personally and get it amended. on basis of your e mail or letter they might amend their records, but to get the election card amended you have to be in the election office personally.
