Silent Majority?
Question: Who is the Silent Majority? Is it Nixon's idea that it is a conservative faction who blindly support America through any given war ( Sacrifice. Sacrifice. Sacrifice. )
Or is it people who don't vote because they think there is little the people can do to change their own government? or who think they should be allowed to smoke pot? or something else?
And why the heck don't they vote so we can figure it out!
Answers: i'm not 100% sure, but i think it refers to the opinions silently held outside of the voting booth...just at any time, and are not represented by the media, are usually different from the media, and are kept silent simply because it's not exactly an election going on, just public opinion not shared and not represented by the media.
In my opinion, the silent majority is just that. Most do not vote and to me are not very good citizens.
