Is Ignorance BLISS?
Question: If ignorance is bliss, who's ignorant around here; supporters of the war on terror or me and other non-supporters? It's the non-supporters who are unhappy. Think about that.
The people who are the least blissful regarding this whole FAKE war on terror are the non-supporters. The supporters are all gung-ho and ready. And since most sayings are accurate as they have withstood the test of time, well, that really should open your eyes to who are the ignorant ones.

Its always been obvious who the ignorant ones are. War supporters never tried to justify their actions with facts or data, just general fears (because the terrorists are really looking to bomb Wyoming) and patriotism.

In fact, he volunteered for the Navy. ...and no supporter of the right to protect our country should ever be called ignorant.

I have always taken this proverb to basically mean that people too stupid, or frightened, or lazy to see the wider implications of things such as the war on terror are also the ones who don't lose their minds in contemplation of the horror of the world...
Honestly, how many people do you know who have been diagnosed with a serious long-term mental illness who you would consider to be ignorant of the world and life in general?
This ignorance can only last so long before the ramifications become clear. It will be a sad and triumphant day for those of us who have had the courage to deal with it our whole lives.
